God loves you, and Jesus died for each of us. (John 3|16)
We love because He first loved us. (1 John 4|19)
Become
God invites us into a relationship with Him through faith in Jesus. (Matthew 11|28-29)
We’re invited to become a part of God’s family, the church. (Galatians 6|10)
celebrate
A weekly celebration of love, thru the Spirit, flowing from a grateful heart. (Col 3|14-16)
Worship is a celebration of what God has done and is doing in my life. (Acts 2|42; Acts 5|42)
Daily encounter
A daily time in the Word and in prayer, listening to the Spirit’s leading. (Hebrews 4|12; 2 Timothy 2|15)
Our daily encounter is the well we draw from to serve others. (John 4:13-14; 1 Peter 4|11)
Small Groups
The weekly “house to house” neighborhood gatherings meant to build relationships and true community. (Acts 5|42)
Each small group has a SG leader, and an assistant leader.
The best small groups are a mosaic of splendid diversity; but can be ethnically, geographically, or generationally based, or even interest based. (Remember, Have fun!)
The priority is that it builds community, is laser focused on helping people take next steps with God and excited about group multiplication.
COACHING GROUPS
Coaching Groups are for a set period of time (anywhere from 1 hour to 10 weeks), and for the purpose of helping people take next steps. For nearly every square of the 9 one would be able to find a Coaching Group.
Examples of Coaching Groups: I Believe (The 8 Miracles of John), Rooted (10-weeks to a deeper, richer faith), Team Huddle, Leading Groups & Teams, Making Waves, Financial Peace, Divorce Care, OT Survey, NT Survey, Taking a Mission Trip (Remember, the Beyond), etc.
Teams
God has given each individual unique gifts and abilities that are intended to be a blessing to others. Think, better together. (Romans 12|4-5)
Teams are the backbone and organizational structure essential to all growing communities.
Serving is fun! Teams are dedicated to making it possible for people to take next steps with God, and consist of the Team Leader, Assistant(s) and Team Members.
Most, but not all teams, serve during weekend worship services.
Teams say with their actions, “We love you!”
tithe
Giving a portion of our income back to the Lord is a tangible expression of a grateful heart, expressing our desire to be on mission with Jesus.
It is a gift given back to God, to be used to expand God’s Kingdom by helping people take next steps with God — whether in our neighborhoods or around the world. (1 Cor 16|2)
Go + Be + Beyond
Jesus commissioned his followers — to “go and make disciples of all nations;” and that begins where we live, where we work and where we play. (Matthew 28|18-20)
Each and every Christ-follower has a story to share and sets an example for others to follow. (1 Cor 11|1)
The Kent Valley is rich with ethnic diversity! What an awesome opportunity to raise up and send out (all over the world), fulfilling Acts 5|42 in our generation!
